Kris Costa's Zbrush 3 Stuff (some nudity)

Marty & Abby - just fantastic!

Where are you making your renders? (soft)

Cheers,

Elixir,
thanks man! Yeah, Elija would make a nice clone, not as funny though

Arturo,
thanks! Hopefully the final scene will look much better after all the textures painted/applied :+1:

Distal and Alonso,
thanks a bunch.

Eidan,
This render is taking about an hour and I was in a hurry yesterday. I’ll make a bigger one as soon as I have the time
Thanks.

Dickie,
thanks man! The DOF was faked in photoshop using ā€œshape blurā€ instead of lens blur. Depending of the shape you use, the results can be very interesting.

boozy floozie,
thanks. I love your style man! Really cool stuff you’re doing. Mongo… good suggestion. I’ll see

Djampa,
thanks. Maya/Mental Ray/Final Gather for rendering, photoshop for comp/DOF.

More to come,
-Kris

Great job Kris :+1: i love the sepia/scratches version

very cool render
do you use a displacementmap or the highpoly model? And if you use the highpolymodel - how many polygons do it have?

Não poderia deixar de comentar um trabalho desse!!! Magnífico mestre! Parabéns!!!..
AtĆ© breve…

Hey, thank you Mag

Cral,
since I’m doing only a still image and I want to check how things are looking without having to spend time setting up displacement maps, those models were exported in mid-res from ZBrush to Maya. The full res models with all the subtools are about 15 million polys in ZBrush but once exported in mid-res, in Maya all the tools combined are about 500.000 polys and some displacement maps are being used as bump maps to reinforce the forms. So, no displacement maps for now, only medium res models exported from Zbrush with some displacement maps used as bump maps.

Poncell,
valeu Poncell!!

salu2 desde argentina!!

I really can’t believe how great this stuff is…
The subject matter too, I mean YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!!!

Not only are your modeling skills above all, but you can actually hit the likenesses right on the mark. This is very uncommon.

Your pin-up girl hits home for me too, I hope to be able to do some of the same… original 40’s and 50’s styled pinups done in CG.

I noticed something… your men are uncircumcized and your women have shaved pubic areas! hahaha is from experience?

I am now dedicated to learning how to make CGI during my spare time thanks to great artists like you! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

A stunning collection of work! Words fail me. Just amazing.
