I decided not add the bells, as without the bells he’s just a bit creepier. The bells are a great touch, but make the scene slightly whimsical.

how did you do the hair ? fibermesh ?

I drew the hairs one by one using a curve brush with tapered end. When I had created a tuft of hairs, I copied that and used Move to deform the copied hairs.

You caught me. I didn’t lie, but to be exact I used 3D Coat’s Spike tool to draw out the hairs.
