awww cute
lovely work !
Wow, beautiful illustrations! Love them
Great picture. Really cute!
Looks awsome, its amazing that you render it all in zbrush:)
Very good work
Hey thanks, guys!
Here’s the latest one. The client wanted fall a fall birds design. The birds were pretty much all the same ZBrush model except I resculpted the heads, beaks and tweaked the body shapes. The birdfeeder was made in Modo and imported. Leaves, and branches were sculpted in Zbrush.
Rendered in ZBrush with Photoshop postwork.
These two last one’s with the snowman and the lil birdies were both awesome! great job on them both
Merry Christmas!
/ Magnus
Nice work on those birds and snowman
Great!!!
Thank you for these.
Nice to notice that zbrush can function in a world
without ghouls, monsters, freaks and Orcs.
Hopefully the three ghosts of Christmas will visit Zbrush
and remind them that their program can make things in the
real world.
I noticed you also mentioned an expression not usually found
in the Ghouls posts.
Clients.
As in paying you for work that is worthwhile and saleable.
Something I feel that orcs are not.
Thanks again for reminding me what is possible.
(would like to point out, if I may, that the ones that post the
monsters usually end their posts with the comment that they are looking
for work)
Birds turned out awesome, more great stuff.
awesome birds. you are a master of composing…
Excellent work! So, all the feathers were made in ZBrush?
Could we see the bird model without the textures?
Nice to notice that zbrush can function in a world
without ghouls, monsters, freaks and Orcs.
I totally aggree
The birds are fantastic. Top row quality
Love the postcards! Fantastic work!
Churning out beautiful illustrations…
its a visual treat…
Magnus, thank you sir!
Baz, thanks!
bicc39, Yes, I’m happy to see that this type of stuff has been received so well here. There are other examples in the gallery of cool illustrations that aren’t video games or movie related. That tells me that Pixologic does have their eye on the marketing ball, so to speak, when it comes to implementing features for us everyday illustrators. So thanks Pixo for such an incredible app!
Dman3D, thanks!
wethand, thank you!
Derek Frenzo, no I did most of the feather sculpting in ZBrush, but I did a lot of softening up, smudging and additional feather painting in Photoshop after rendering. I’ll go back tonight and grab some images of the models without textures.
NoWayOut, thanks!
Roganski, thanks!
ivar_sn, thank you!
Here’s a couple more detailed shots.

I say it again… its beautiful…
Would love to see you do a video tutorial on your workflow…
Merry Christmas…
Fantastic!
looks like the view from my kitchen window.
the feather work is impressive to say the least,
and a nice change from all the usual monster type stuff.
Again nice. Looking at the wood the blue bird is sitting on, maybe you should rotate the direction of the wood.
The texture of the wood looks ‘old’, but the cuts are new. Maybe they could be more irregular?
These are great works all around. I really enjoy your textures and renders. Were these rendered out of ZB or another app? Great work!
