great stuff man , I’m racking my brain, you said for your black outline it’s a photoshop effect . I’ve been at it for ever and cannot get that nice subtle line work you got . would it be possible to get a blow by blow of how you did it?
again nice work
Hey all. Thanks for the kind words! Glad your all diggin stuff.
Here is another sketch. And yes, another alien haha.
slord - To get that outline look, I use the alpha mask generated in through Zbrush’s Best Render as my selection in Photoshop. I use the selection to remove the background to my render so the character/bust is on its own layer. Then you can create a new layer undernieth that, fill it with black (using the same alpha selection), and put a stroke on it found in the layer styles menu in the Layers palette. Hope this helps! I’ll put up a little tutorial soon :]

Hey all, as always thank you so much for the nice comments and positive feedback!
Here is another dude I started playing with a few days ago after work, and wrapped him up yesterday. Hope you dig it!
wow, that is positively disgusting!.. nice work.
That last one with all the teeth, especially: Totally disgusting. But in a strangely compelling way, sort of like glancing out of a moving car at roadkill.
Seriously, very original and technically excellent. Just disgusting.
nice gallery and sweet prints, keep them up:)
wow!! great work bro!
Goddamn it thats so scary, i love it so much ;f And btw, what material you used on it ?
Hey all! Just dumping more into this thread.
You got some really great work in your sketchbook man! Love it all.
Neat last one as well
that is some really inspiring stuff! how long do you generally have to wait for a print?
keep it up!
Thanks for the comments! Glad you like it
Just to answer a few questions, Slocik I used a composite of materials worked together in photoshop. Mostly from the download center :]
Digitalsmithy, I usually only have to wait maybe 3 weeks for a print. That can fluctuate though depending on the sculpt’s complexity and particular needs. Print with polypaint can take a lot longer. If you are getting it printed and cut for mass production, that will also add some time to the order.
okay cool, that’s about what i was guessing.
Again, great work!
