can u just tell me how u made this beautiful oranges in max . just i need the texturing part.and lightning too.
saravanan:hi man
texturing:
texturing was done in photoshop, you need photos of oranges
i also used a normal map derived from the diffuse/color texture
lighting/rendering:
was done in vray, simple studio setup
with two lights and vray environment turned on. the material
has refraction and sss enabled. it is also reflective and has
a slight yellow tone to the reflection slot.
GI: irradiance map for primary bounces and light cache for secondary
cya
That looks great! with the exception that you ruined the image by adding that text all over the image which makes it difficult to see what you have done and to experience it fully please repost it without that massive text all over it.

That’s much better, thanks for uploading this new one koyima. Now it’s a lot easier to see the good job you have done, i like it.

My respect koyma,
I like your works and the Warhammer sculptures… and your minotaurus is great!
Only a criticism on the orange’s render: it isn’t just too much self illuminated? the fruit looks great, but seems a source of lights… too much shining. But is only my opinion
Good work man!
Mattia
i agree, but there might be an explanation, they are in an unrealistic
even by studio standards environment
Hi guys,
I’ve finally put together a demoreel and by posting it
i’ll take the opportunity to
point you to the video tutorial series I’m doing
showing a 3dsmax to zbrush back to 3dsmax workflow:
“The Modeling of Chaos by Kostas Yiatilis Macfarlane”
It’s published by www.binarydivinity.com and it will form a course of 20+ hours of training showing, concept, modeling, sculpting, texturing, shaders, rendering and post.
