Hello All,
After lurking around for some time (past two years I guess), I am starting my own sketchbook.
So here is what I will be starting out with.
This guy is kinda of a Priest, High Council type. I call him The Overlord.

What an auspicious beginning! TERRIFIC! More, more!
Thanks a lot! More to come for sure! Just visited your deviant art. Nice drawings!
hey klaus.great start on your sculpting thread.
overlord already looks good. will you paint your sculpt?
i think it would be cool to see the sculpt painted.
feel welcome at zbc.
Thanks man! Yeah maybe I should give the zbrush painting a go. I always do my texturing in Bodypaint and Ps though. but what the hell… maybe I’ll try it.
I am busy the next two months. Working on my Demo reel here at Vancouver Film School.
This is an Age Of Conan inspired character that I am working on. (A game with great concept art btw)
Another Sculpt I had laying around. Done around christmas.
The concept is by an unknown artist. I found the drawing via. Google images.
The face is pretty coolness and the teeth as well as the tusks are my favorite.
Thanks!
So I did this monday evening. This is Princess Xanee. She is still W.I.P. I want to add some jewelry and maybe some paint on the face. We’ll see… C&C!
as it’s totally wip it looks really fine. i like the eyes. lips need to be tweaked and the breastbone looks a bit wired, imo. but great start.
Okay thanks for your input. I’ll try and fix the collarbone. What did you mean about the lips?

Here is Borahg. It started out as a speedsculpt, but I liked it so much that it turned into something more. Thanks to vitaly bulgarov for is awsome tutorial on zbrush render passes.
Just a couple of zbrush screencaps.

really nice work! you are getting better with ervery piece!! keep it up!
is that by any chance inspired by Jeff Unay’s work here:

Hey man,
I love your Borahg model…great work!
I wanted to know if you used standard zbrush mats on that armor
Max: Thanks buddy! I watched your reel. Turned out great!! We need to hang before your off man.
Thenewpainter: Yeah, Jeff Unay’s work is a big inspiration for me. Not only on that piece.
Alex Fox: Thanks, great to hear you liked it. But yes, everything done with standard matcaps from zbrush. I usually work with them as I do MR. That means I create a base metal layer, then put a shiny chrome on top as a overlay with around 50% opacity and then I’ll repeat that with a colored version on top again and erase out parts where I want they metal to show underneath. I hope that makes sense. Otherwise check out Vitaly Bulgarovs tutorials HERE
hey klaus. sorry i didn’t reply earlier. my english is not that good as i can explain well what i mean with lips need to be tweaked. as i saw the art of jeff unay i saw where you got that style of the lips from. i would go for a more realistic style, that was what i meant with tweak the lips.

i’ve got to say i like the borahg sculpt a lot.maybe the teeth could be a bit bigger, imo. greets,al.
@Al.Tintop - Okay, I get what you mean now. I was going for like an african woman lips. But I want to work more on her, so I’ll try your suggestion for sure. Thanks for the comment though.
