When launching Keyshot for Zbrush, I’m notified that there is an upgrade to Keyshot 5.3.6
Are there any problems with installing this update?
What is the future upgrade path for Keyshot for Zbrush?
Since I don’t own “full” Keyshot, I just don’t want to run into any licensing issues.

If it gives you the option to update the program, then go ahead and do it. I believe the newest KS version will soon be 6, so you’re just patching, not really upgrading.
They haven’t announced any information about upgrading the special editions KS for ZB, as far as I know. I wish they would. I’m worried that the software I just bought a few months ago is already obsolete 
I saw the message on the opening page when I booted up Keyshot shortly after I bought the bundle and raised a ticket with the same questions as yours with ZBrush support, they could not answer for Keyshot’s licensing so referred me to them and I was in formed that it should be OK .
When I launched Keyshot some days later it seemed to automatically updated and I have not had any problems with licensing info etc.

It will upgrade without any trouble, you won’t even need to re-enter your serial number. Keyshot will open and all your pre-upgrade customizations to the interface will be remembered, and any materials you added will still be in place.
