Keyshot Bridge NOT needed with Keyshot for ZBrush

Am I missing something? Did I really need to purchase Keyshot Bridge?

I recently purchased Keyshot for ZBrush AND the Keyshot Bridge, because all documentation on the Pixologic site states that BOTH are needed.
However, when I received my email with the download links I read this:
---------------------------------
KeyShot for ZBrush
After downloading the installer, run it to be guided through the installation process. Upon first launching KeyShot for ZBrush, it will prompt you for activation. Follow the on-screen instructions.

ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge
Your ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge plugin (purchased separately) is automatically installed with ZBrush. To activate it, you must first install and activate ZBrush. The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge will ask for activation when you first run it from within ZBrush, using your Pixologic ID.
-------------------------------

I was very curious about the wording “KeyShot Bridge plugin (purchased separately) is automatically installed with ZBrush.”… and I thought I would try installing Keyshot for ZBrush WITHOUT installing Keyshot Bridge to see what would happen.
That done, I hit BPR for the first time and as expected was prompted to enter my Keyshot for ZBrush licence number, which I did. Keyshot then loaded and ran perfectly.

So, to re-iterate, although I purchased the Keyshot Bridge I DID NOT INSTALL IT and have not yet been asked to enter in a licence number anywhere.

My question, then, is why did I purchase the Bridge if it is apparently not needed?

I have put a ticket in with Pixologic but I am curious if anyone has some thoughts on the matter or knows the answer to this question…

I am unable to edit or delete the original post. This matter is somewhat resolved in that Pixologic replied to my ticket. Questions not really answered other than confirming that Bridge does need to be purchased.

How I am able to use it without entering the licence number I have no idea, but I guess there is something going on in the back-end regarding the licences that I purchased.
