I hope someone can give me some quick help. I have a model that is millions of polygons. I duplicated the subtool deleted the lower subdivision levels and decimated it and kept the button that said use and keep polypaint checked to allow the color information from the hires model to transfer.
The preview of the model with polypaint on looks correct. If I then try to create a new texture from polypaint the texturemap turns black and does not transfer the polypaint information.
Oh and I just wanted to mention that my UV map was setup at 4096 using PUV tiles. I would prefer a UV map from UV master, but I seem to experience a crash 3 out of 4 times that I use it. I haven’t quite figured out why yet.
