Hello there and good evening,
comming from a Rhino, Inventor (product design) and Lightwave (animation) background I am trying to master Zbrush. At the moment I have some problems with getting along well with the Decimation Master PlugIn.
The “Keep UVs” option gives strange results from time to time and I am not able to reproduce errors with regard to my workflow. Sometimes I get very clean decimated meshes without any texture distortions and sometimes there are weired wavy distortions due to the adapted UVs:
In both cases the mesh has almost exactly the same polygoncount after decimation. The only difference is the location of the UV seam (which doesnt cross the texture at this shown point).
Maybe there is someone out there who is able to give some help to a Zbrush newbie.
