That will have you going in no time and will prevent that you waste a lot of time staring puzzled at the screen.
Cheers

Thanks ! I’ll get into that as soon as i can !

I don’t know if I would be in 3d still if I hadn’t discovered ZBrush… I was struggling so much with the technical aspect in Max and Maya… and they were not fun programs for play and experimentation… so learning was very uphill on all fronts

then I discovered ZBrush and I had so much fun just playing, experimenting, and learning… I felt like everything I did with the program was more of an artistic endeavor than a technical one… and now less than 2 years later, I am impressing friends with my ZBrush work… friends who used to far surpass me with their Max and Maya stuff… and when I look at the big packages now, I realize that my technical comprehension has expanded immensely

basically, if you’re a creative type and lacking in the technical, then ZBrush will subtly slip technical knowledge and comprehension your way in the course of your artistic work… at least that has been my experience

you picked the right program for sure!

My brother the buddhi said the learning was steep and easy
and i feared he was right…
and what i have learnt from zbrush besides the fact that it is an immense
program …
is that i can still learn , and , create , simply , and directly…
There are masters in every discipline
and they were once beginners…
thanks

I’ve downloaded the Practical Guide and i started reading ! And it is a great place to start i’m understanding everything! Thanks for the link Lemo !

thanks salmon for the heads up !

i just can’t wait to start creating !

Take care !

I think my experience is out of the norm but - I found ZBrush easy to learn and the traditional 3D packages maddeningly hard to learn. As a hobbyists or artists tool ZBrush is far superior. You need some basic skills in other software for things that compliment ZBrush. It depends how much time and money you have. If you need a full package solution you can plan on spending some money and time.

no question
as a hopyist i do not spend
consistent time
and often have to relearn as I go
cept that some where in this brain I have learned
like the first box of crayons
I am allowed to paint out of the lines
Everything is possible
