Hi I have just started using Zbrush, and Im watching some of the tutorials on the Pixologic website. They are pretty good except on thing. As the instructor goes flying through theses, he never mentioned the keys to use inorder to rotate pan and zoom without having to actually click those controls on the right control bar. IT would be great is someone could let me know.
thanks:D
Rotate: click and drag on any empty part of the canvas
Pan: Hold down Alt and drag
Scale: Hold down Alt. Hold down the left mouse button. Release Alt. Drag on the cavas.
(So Alt is the same key you use for both actions. The only difference is whether you continue to hold Alt while dragging or release it.)
thanks for the help, one more question is there key commands to make the brush size larger and smaller. somewhat like photoshop?
There is a plugin in the Zplugin>Miscellaneous Utilities menu that uses the [ and ] keys to increment the Draw Size by 10 at each press. If you wish to use different keys, or if those keys aren’t working for some reason, you can assign your own hotkeys to those buttons. Simply Ctrl+Click on the the button and then (without moving the mouse off the button) press the key you want to use. Be sure to save the hotkeys using the Preferences palette when done.
Aurick,
Is there a way I can change the brush-size increment to something other than 10?
Thanks,
Rob
If you use the S hotkey it will bring up a little HUD slider where your cursor is, and you can quickly either type in a number and hit enter, or use the slider that comes up. I usually hit S then type a specific number.
I appreciate your response. I am aware of the S key, but I would like to use my touch-ring to finely adjust the brush size, so that I can free up more buttons for other functions on my intuos4.
