Jungle Monster for 3DCreative Magazine

This Image was created as part of a tutorial series called ZBRUSH MONSTER: Character Creation and can be read in 3DCreative Magazine issue 67 now in March.

In the article I explain how this monster was created from concept to final render.

I had a deadline of 20 days to come up with a monster that would fit in a jungle environment and write a tutorial within the range of 1000-4000 words.

Working full nights alongside my other gigs it was quite a stressful ride hehe.

The image is rendered in Zbrush BPR and comped in PS.

Hope you like!

Very nice, the only thing which is less appealing to me is the background but as you have said that you had only 20 days to complete this.
Overall its looking great.

My Sketchbook

Wow, great work, Jonas! I totally missed it. :o
Awesome design! Are the wings modeled? I`d love to see a turntable.

Thanks  Yeah you have been kinda missing for a while hehe :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah the wings are modeled but the depthblur doesnt do them justice

I am actually working on a turntable in Vray at the moment. Will post it as soon as I am done

Yay, cool! But I hope your "as soon as its done" doesnt take as long as my “as soon as it`s done”.

hahaha proooomise
I am all new to vray so I am trying to break it to my will :stuck_out_tongue:
