thanks for the replies! I’ve been busy as hell the last few days so I haven’t had a chance to answer back. Sorry about that.
Cesar: I hope to get the wrinkles better. I still don’t have my head wrapped around that particular skill set. I hope to have some really nice improvements soon…
Pride: Yeah, his skin is too smooth. I need to add the pores and finer wrinkle detail on the next pass…
Calum5ZB: Thank you. It is a pleasure to share what I learn… Just as it’s an immense pleasure to learn from all the artists on this forum. And you have a great X-mas aslo, Bro…
Lemo: Thanks! You crack me up, Bro… I saved this one to the permanant collection…
When I did the version before this one, I thought of doing the same treatment for him except it was a pink party dress with him wearing a little tiara that spelled out “Princess” in rhinestones. I was going to have him in a tea party with a little girl serving him tea in a teeny, tiny teacup. I still might do that, depending on how he comes out.
Either way, you have a wonderful holiday yourself…
DMerchen: The Z-brush render itself was a bit dark, as they usually are with my lighting schemes. I then take them into PS and screen the image on top to add fill light. I then adjust the hue and saturation if the colors aren’t heading towards the feel I’m looking for.
Rick: Thanks for posting. It keeps me inspired…
I’m posting the lights for this render too. The Mats are the same as the last one. Remember though, it will come out somewhat dark and I had to hand paint the highlights in the eyes, as the light scheme was developed to accentuate the shadows in the eyesockets.
You all have a great holiday and I’ll post an update soon…
Dickie
Great work here Dickie. really nice and clean. I have a question dor you, on your first page images, what material did you use to get the silver looking so real. I’m trying to create a material just with that appearance, but not have much luck. Any pointers will help.
I’ll be lookign out for future works of yours keep up the good worksmall_orange_diamond
