JPRart- digital comic book art

Its been a long time since I’ve posted anything on ZBrushCentral, and I wanted to share some of my new art. Everything here was done with Zbrush, 3ds max, and photoshop.

Let me know what you think! Also, If you want to see more of my art, here is a link to my DeviantArt gallery: [http://jprart.deviantart.com/gallery/](http://jprart.deviantart.com/gallery/)

This is an Iron Man pin-up that I did over the weekend. I’ve been wanting to do something with the new Iron man armor for a while, I really like the design by Ryan Meinerding.

Well, I´m speechless. So I have just to say: STUNNING!!

Ok, a few more words: Man, that Cpt. A vs. RedSkull strip is KILLER! Love it!

And all other Superheroes you have there over at the DEviant are outstanding good work.

I would love to see how you combine the programs, especially ZB in your pipeline.

Many thanks for sharing and hopefully you show more here soon.

Very impressive! Really nice work.

HI Jprart

Loving your work. The captain america strip is awesome however i noticed a lack of facial expression on captain america. Was that intentional? Red skull looks sweet btw.

Cheers Luke

Yeah, really love the look and style to these. Would love to see a breakdown of how you achieved the over all look.

My only crit is on the expressions on Capt. America’s face, or lack of them.

He has the same face and expression in every frame.

But great work!.

Very interesting stuff.

im a big fan of your work man!!

Those look awesome!

Cheers!

that captain america strip is very impressive work. love the lighting, the color and composition.
there is just one thing - when I look at your deviant site most of the characters including the other captain america versions have quite a distinct face and expression. in a nutshell they do have quiet some character, while this captain america here looks a bit nondescript. I really hope you don’t mind me saying that, but it bothers me a little since the work on this strip is otherwise absolutely brilliant.

These look great! I was thinkin of buying a 1:1 sideshow ironman bust when I came across this. Can you show how much of it is zbrush, max, photoshop? i would love to see just the sculpts, etc…

Very impressive work! However, some of the poses in some of the panel are a bit stiff. You could probably exaggerate them some more and accentuate certain parts of the musculature to fit the action. Also, apart from the red skull, all the facial expression are pretty blank in a way. You might want to add some expression to improve the mood of the panels.

Otherwise, It is excellent work!

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks for all the great comments, I really appreciate it!

Here's something new that I did last week, just trying out a different style. Let me know what you think [Superman%20snowfall3.jpg[/ATT]%3C/font%3E"]![Superman snowfall3.jpg|688x1044](upload://hmiN3CkoS5jA7QXRpPw4f9H9Rv.jpeg)](http://%3Cfont%20color=%22#9A9A9A%22%3E[ATT=231825)

your work is amazing!

Your work is amazing, the final comps are beautiful. However, i would rather see the sculpt or the polygonal image with the norms overlaid. Just to see the base you worked from!

love the superman piece!

Killer looking Wonder Woman.

Awesome technique.

Great work :). I have a few friends who’ve wanted to do the 3D comic-book thing, but not seen it executed before. It looks really interesting! Maybe it needs some FX?

Your still images are really good, especially the Wonder-Woman and Ross inspired Superman.

wauw! fantastic work.
i’d very much like to know of your workflow, both 2d and 3d-wise.
the superman piece is fantastic.

Here’s a new picture that I did recently.

I thought it would be fun to see what Deadpool would do in 3d.
So, You’ll need green and red 3d glasses for the full effect…
