Jordu Schell - My version

Hi everyone, it’s my first post here.

It’s my second week working with ZBrush, amazing tool.

how brazilian like a lot the Schell’s works, i didn’t to do diferent. I made “my version” of the sculpture called “Cosmonaut” of the Schell just for testing with the displacment and the texture, i’m learning…

The texture, I made with Antropus thecnique, amazing.

I now that have a lot details to do, but I’m waiting for crits and comments.

Thanks and sorry for my poor english,

Alan Camara

Sweet! Not a bad interpretation at all.

Wow! Excellent first post Alancamara!
I think the eyes are superb, and the skin is great too, but maybe lose the mucous under the nose? (or give him some paracetamol! ). I love the SSS on the ears - what program did you render it with? The top of the head is different to the sculpture, but I think yours is cool in a slightly ‘mars attacks/coneheads’ sort of way. Keep it up!

the eyes are superb:+1: :sunglasses:

i really think its awesome nioce work.

Hi Jason Thanks dude.

jit_gohil Thanks. Hahaha, paracetamol? You’re right, hahaha. Hoe it’s was just a test, i didn’t worry about this, but to the next render I’ll fix this.

Sorry, I forgot. I used Maya to base mesh, texture and dislpl on ZB.

Really have a ressemblace with Mars Attack, hehehe.

Thanks for your comment

Hey Abyssis Thanks. Really the eyes is very important to a model. Thanks again dude.

mattybyng Thanks for your comment dude, i’ll improve some thins, especially the secretion on the nose, thanks again.

Well, i’m posting the wires, and the maps.

Looks fantastic. I think it all comes together very well. I would love to see this bugger animated.

Whats the Antropus thecnique for those of us who missed it?

jbrophy and others…

click on the zclassroom link…there you will see the artist in action link…click on that and you’ll find links to all the Antropus techniques as well as Rimasson’s and many more.

I love the eyes on this guy!

Great work!

Peace,

NickZ.

WOAH! Talk about too much caffine…this guy definately looks wired to the hilt!!

A great interpretation of a great sculpture. My only crit would be that maybe the spec level is a little too high as he loks a bit ‘sweaty’ but maybe thats the look that you want?

Also you’ve unwittingly helped me in my search for the ultimate SSS setup LOL. It never occured to me before to do a subdermal map… I’d be really interested to see your shader set-up for this guy (although usually people aren’t in the habit of sharing a good SSS setup  ) I have no idea why…
So your getting 5 stars from me for that alone. You also deserve another 5 for the modelling as you’ve done a great job.

Wayne…

This guy is pretty kicking, I don’t think the snot is quite working. Other than that though it’s very sweet.

Hijbrophy

I don’t pretend to do some animations about this guy, How I said I made just fot study. The Antropus Technique is an amazing way to texture on Zb, how aminuts tell, You can search in the ZClassroom. Thanks dude

Hey nickz thanks for your comment dude. :+1:

HiDarthWayne How are you? Really is a great sculpture, like that, on the sschell’s site have a lot sculptures that can be used like modeling exercises, i think.

About the shader I using the fast_skin and I know if you know, but this shader have 3 layers called epidermal, subdermal and I didn’t remember the last name.

The color map I put on the epidermal and the subdermal map on the subdermal layer. You can be excellent results with this adjustments, later I’ll post here the setup about this.

I agree with you, the espec level really is a bit high, but I not yet put any map there. Thanks mate for your comments and sorry for my english

Well, one more up
