Jims Zbrushen

Hello all! I started using Zbrush about 3 years ago and I’ve been in love with it ever since. I’ve been in the games industry for over 12 years. I’ve worked at LucasArts and now EA. I’ve been checking out the Zbrush Forum just about every day and I’m consistently blown away by what I see. I’m really happy to finally start showing some stuff and participating in the Zbrush forum.

Nice work Jim!

Really like the hard edged sculpts I’m seeing lately, good work…

I like this flat surfaces :+1:

I digg it, only thing I’d add a harder eye-edge, to make it go more with the mouth style. Nice and original, keep doodeling

Great work Jim,nice style. Not from the conveyer belt!:+1:

Thanks for the Comments.

This is another head I was messing with recently. I took a sculpting class at work and decided to do a Zbrush3 version. I’m not totally happy with it, but it was interesting to try to solve the same sculpting problems with Zbrush3. I was impressed with how far I could get with just modeling with a Zphere. At some point I would like to try to resurface it.

Nice work, I love the way you segment the face. At first I thought they were bandages  Keep 'm coming!

I’m trying to make a photo realistic version of my own head. It’s been a while since I’ve tried this…here goes. I’ve attached my first pass…that I want anyone to see.

I’m going to look around for help, but any advice would be much appreciated.

Nice work Jim, Love to see you posting your work up to ZBcentral. Can’t wait to see more!

Peace,

NickZ.

Very nice, juste reduce a bit the cavity intensity and it will be even better:+1:

Thanks fellows.

Any advice on where I can get some sweet Zbrush3 materials for skin and stuff?

OK, I’ve finally got around to doing a color pass. I really need to beef up the render and play with the lighting, but I figured I would post it anyway.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nice work Jim, Its a shame that the infamous ‘Mr 1 star’ poster has been on your thread. So 5 from me to even things up a bit as theres no way in hell this thread deserves 1 star from anyone.

Wayne…

pretty welcome too.
selfportrait is well done.
although im not that much fan of painting textures from photos to 3d models (pretty cool feature, but i always try to generate textures with brushes and colors)
the alien dude is weird. has something of an ancient statue made of stone material (especially the ear-parts)

Hey Thao! Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words. I’m trying to sharpen up some of my skills. As you can see I’m not getting much feedback.

Jim

:stuck_out_tongue: HI!I come from the Chinese students. I would like to ask. You generally use ZBrush modeling? Maya and not max modeling? Or in ZBrush Lane after construction probably dragged to other software, continue to be built? Or switch over?

I thought I would show some of the heads I’ve been posting on my blog.http://jimrice3000.blogspot.com/

Please let me know what you think.
