Hi all,
i have been visiting this forum daily for a year and finally i´ve decided to create my own thread to post my works.
I am going to post all my works in the same order that it where done. This is my first Zbrush work. I hope you like it!
This is a medusa´s bust that i did following a book tutorial, but finally i did it with my personal touch. I hope you like it i wish i can paint it some day.
This is a school practice done the last year. I did a base model in Max and then detailed and painted in Zbrush, rendered in Mental Ray.
This one is a character for a short film that i am still working with a friend. Base model in max and detailed/painted in Zbrush.
This one is a super hero constitution male that im working on following a Scott Spencer Book. I do it for improve my anatomy skills. Its still WIP, so critiques and advices are very welcome.
Hello all this one was originally a quick sketch trying to do some gorilla´s like monster. But Finally i decided to detail and paint it and bring it some more human look.
This one is my first complete body humanoid, and also my first old character, its still WIP, so please, critiques and advices are very welcome. I hope you like it!
This one is a bust from a “yuan-ti”, some kind of cobra-man from dungeons and dragons universe, all the face scales are hand sculpted, so i have a lot of “detailing work” with this one, i hope you like it, its one of my best works for me.
Very cool looking creature! Love to see more like this! Cheers, David
Hi all again this is my last proyect, is still WIP, because i want to dress her and set her in a pose, etc. For now, i think the body is finished, i tried to do it anatomically correct. But (with out despise any one´s work) i dont want him to be the tipicall cg woman with the “perfect body”, i´ve tried to do it mora like a normal woman. Critiques and advices are welcome, I hope you like it!

Hi all again! I´ve corrected the face. All has been smoothed, reduced the distance between noise and mouth, and moved the brows a little bit into the face, has well as some other minor changes… I hope i am making progresses… What do you think? Do you like more the new one?
I´ve also done some kind of concepting for the clothes, still WIP obviusly, but,
giveme your feedback please!
Very nice, may I ask what book it was ? Wouldn’t mind following that too
The Book name is “Introducing Zbrush”, but is the Zbrush 3.0 or 3.5 version. You can see that medusa in the book front cover. There are many of that books, one for each Zbrush main version. Find the one that u want.
I hope i Helo you!
i am working on a female head as well so i know how it can be.
Her ears are too far back and too high on her head. The bottom part that connects to the head should be in line with the bottom of the nose and the top part that connects to the head should be in line with the eyes. Lightly paint on or sculpt some eye brows, sometimes it helps to pull it together and not look so alien when there are features missing that we all know should be there. Her profile looks good other than the ears, its just the front on image that is off. I tend to have the opposite problem, my front view looks ok but the profile is off.
Hi all i have a new update. I´ve finished modeling and painting the goblin model, just dressing it leasts.
It´s my first complete model painted without textures, all painted by hand in Zbrush. I hope you like it!
The last image is just some testing with Fibermesh.
Hello every body!! Here is my last project. The orginial design is from the great Pascal Blanché, i just made it in Zbrush some years after!
Just final retouching, retopo baking maps, render in 3Ds Max and compositing rests for this model, but as always i´ll thanks all the comments, advices or critiques!
Thanks all, i hope you like it!
Looks really great Grimngor. Excellent work.
Ezra
Thanks a lot!!
Hi again people,
This my final project for the last Master degree I did on CICE, is… Well I dont know what it is exactly but I toke some inspiration from dinosaurs, dragons, bulls and gorilas. I must say this project was so dificult at the begining in the designing phases with a lot of changes in the way until I finally chosee the final design. I am very glad of this project once it finished and I must say thanks to Victor Sanz Fernandez (http://igovictor.deviantart.com/gallery/) a wonderfull artist who did some concept art for me based on my original designs and ideas. Thank you!
I am planning on use this model on my reel once I have finished a couple of projects more. And almost for sure, it will get some updates with some props.
About the process I followed what is startin to be my main workflow. Main blobking in Zbrush along with modeling and final details, retopologize in TopoGun, Uv Layout from Zbrush and perfectioned on 3dsMax, Painted in Zbrush, material configuration on Max, and final render and lighting.
You can see an image from the highpoly and lowpoly comparission, the concept from Victor and a couple of turnarrounds.
Hope you like it!
Hello again everybody!
I finally finished sculpting this model wich was intended to be an anatomical study as realistic as posible, and in the meantime, I´ve learned a lot of anatomy for organic modeling purposes.
I´ve mede a quick skin paint/projection test as well.
And I am now working on the clothing/accesories for him trying to make him some kind of warrior.
I hope you like it!
As always, Critiques are more than welcome!
