Hey gang! Been lurking a while, but I just recently joined the community. I work mostly in 2D as a webcartoonist so 3D is a fun new challenge for me. ZBrush has totally opened my eyes! So here goes!

The Nomlings! These are based on a webcomic that I haven’t updated since the new year. But I love the designs so I thought I’d try my hand at making them in 3D for eventual toy production. Working out quotes now, but hopefully, you’ll be seeing these dumplings in some kind of real form sometime this year!

I wanted to try out some of the helmet techniques from that amazing tutorial thread so I thought I’d give my favorite Kamen Rider a go. Posing this little guy proved to be kind of a pain. Ah well. Still learning this stuff.

So pretty much, once you’ve made Kamen Rider Ichigo, you’ve made Kamen Rider Nigo. So here’s Nigo and the original version of Ichigo in his original color scheme.
Tried to get this as Tezuka as I could. Here’s my interpretation of Black Jack!

So I have a bunch of variations on the simple Daruma doll that show up in my comic from time to time. This is the Lurvaruma which is used for love/relationship type wishes. It intended for 3D printing but I have to wait until we get a new extruder. I threw on some basic colors but I think the final version will have some more decorative filagree type stuff.
This is the Deatharuma. When you want something to end, a relationship, a job, a date, wish upon the Deatharuma.
Some fun character stuff I’m working on.
Here are the final 3D prototypes for the Nomlings. Lots of sanding, priming, filling, sanding, priming, filling etc. They’re going to be resin casted although my friend thinks they should be squishy so maybe they’ll end up being squishy casted.
I grabbed a trial of Marmoset because I wanted to see how it compared with Zbrush’s renderer. This isn’t exactly an equivalent test since the lighting is different, but I figured I’d just see what I could come up with. Though I think Marmoset is wicked fast and easy to use, I find that I like the multipass control that Zbrush gives you.
I’ll keep playing with it, but I think my gut is telling me to just stick with Zbrush.
Working on a kitsune. Also playing around with transparent rendering in Zbrush.
Holy butts, it’s been a while. And wouldn’t you know it, I did a Kamen Rider bust! Kind of a screwy horror interpretation as if his armor was sort of eating him. Dynamesh and polypaint.
Some Destiny fanart. Wanted to make a chibi Hunter for my brother. So this is what I came up with. Eventually going to be 3D printed.
