Jagged brush strokes problem

Hi…

I’ve been having this annoying problem for a loooong time now. when i want to refine my mesh, i tend to use dam_standard or slah2 brush… but even thou my mesh is very high in resolution, i still get these artifacts in my brush stroke… And i can’t really figure out how to fix it…

I really hope some1 can help me out with this one…

i’m afraid that if you want those details to look smooth that much zoomed in, you’re going to have to consider using HD geometry, instead of applying the detail to the mesh directly. Slash is quite a rough brush and will always show jagged edges even on highly subdivided meshes if you zoom in. If you planned on using the model outside of Zbrush, I believe the latest Zbrush version added support for generating maps that included the HD geometry, but I’m not experienced in that field.

Thx alot for the response… I am aware that slash is kinda “raw” brush, but i don’t feel it should make such a bad result on a very very dense model… And again dam_standard seem to be doing the right thing in some areas, but it do these akward dots, in other areas…

But you might be right, mabey the mesh isn’t dense enough… But i was just wondering, if there was somekind of function i missed in the stroke or brush pallet…

I am having the same issues and was wondering if maybe the resolution of the brush has anything to do with it. I’ve noticed that if I stay away a certain distance with the brush at certain settings that helps slightly. Anyone else have any ideas…thanks
