Hi everyone! I finished my degree recently and wanted to join the community as a way to help maintain my learning. I’m starting this sketchbook thread to give me a place post my bits and pieces, and seek critique. I’ll start with these two which I rendered last week.
This is a likeness study of Captain Mifune from the second two Matrix films. Grey version (using zbro_Realtime_Gray matcap) is the final zbrush sculpt. I then stacked texturing xyz displacement textures on in Maya/Vray which I painted in Mari. And also remade the hair using curves in xgen for the final render. This second one is a likeness study of Vickie from 3d.sk. Same process as Mifune - although for the eyebrows I used the curves from fibermesh as a my base in xgen and tweaked/added to them from there.
