I've got 2 questions!?

I’ve searched for threads similar to this one, but no luck so…

  1. When I export my mesh out of zbrush as an OBJ. and open it within
Maya, the mesh automatically gets broken up into many different parts.
I found that selecting MRG in the “Export” options box, makes the mesh whole.
The problem is that when I load my tool- the export options disappear!! any
    other solutions?

  2. When I attempt use zmapper on my mesh gives me an error-
    GL_INVALID_ENUM ??

thanks

Your first question I think what’s going on is you have your mesh in seperate polygroups which is recognized as individual objects in your 3D program. If they are then you simply need to show wireframe and combine them all back into one polygroup - polygroups rollout-group visible. Or if they’re broken up into subtools, then you may need to merge them all with the subtool master plugin yet they may be disconnected and show seams. Hope this helps!

Regarding your ZMapper question, it sounds like your graphics card doesn’t support OpenGL. Or your drivers for it need to be updated.

Thanks guys,

I figured out my first Question! I had made a projection from
a high detailed mesh over to the lower res mesh, but I never hit the make
adaptive skin button to finalize it.

About the graphics card- I just purchased a new laptop which has “Intel
graphics media accelerator”. It has a 3d settings for GL? I also updated
the driver.

Is there no other way of fixing this problem, but to replace my graphics card?
