Items rescale randomly.

I’m getting a bit frustrated with what keeps happening to me when I’m sculpting, moving and object, rotating the camera, or scaling a mesh. At random the object will disappear completely from my screen, what happens every time, is the object makes itself a very very small scale, and moves to a random spot in the document. I can sometimes double tap the Move button to bring it back, but usually even if i can bring it back, I can’t use scale to make it big enough, my only option is to save the brush and reload it. Is there anything I’m doing wrong that’s causing this, or anything I can do to prevent it?

Sounds like your mouse cursor is screwing around. Are you on a mouse or WACOM tablet? Does this only happen while you’re holding down your mouse/stylus button and manipulating a model?

I do use a Wacom tablet, and it does only happen when I am using the stylus, just the tip of the stylus though, not the side buttons.

How often does this happen? Does it happen with other software that you use your wacom with? Like Photoshop?

It can happen several times within a 15 minute period, or it may only happen one or two times through a few hours of sculpting. It is the only program that the issue occurs with, when I’m using Photoshop, the cursor never draws random lines that shoot to the extents of the document or anything like that.

Maybe it could have something to do with ZBrush’s performance on your system. What are you system specs like?

E8400 3.0Ghz, two HD 4890s, 4 GB of ram, 500GBx2 HDDs in raid 0, I don’t think it’s related :\

Yeah, definately not your hardware then. Have you upgraded to 3.5? If so, was this happening in 3.1? If you havent upgraded, then I recommend you do so ASAP. Since upgrading will have you installing a fresh new version of ZBrush.

this sounds very similar to the zsphere bug in 3.1 where it would just shrink and jump away on the canvas. i would have to hit undo and reframe.
