It Came From Outer World

Hello,

I want to show my creature from outer world I am working on at the moment. I was inspired from many different creature designs, mainly the Hydralisk from Starcraft, but I wanted to go with a differnt style and put in my own touch. It´s still in progress and I will post some more images later. Hope you like it so far.

nice model, love the scaly tail bits.
i’ve never played starcraft but they obviously took that from the x-men’s brood.

sarakawa: Thanks for the comment !

andreseloy: Thanks, I am fine. How are you?

spaceboy412: Thanks, indeed it´s similar to the hydralisk. It´s so hard to create something totally new.

Added a first MR testrender in the first post, some details are a little bit washed out. I think I have to sharpen some edges and work on the lighting.

I hate to say it but he’s pretty cute:) in a cool sort of way. I’m looking forward to your next pass.

Great work. Can’t wait to see more on him. (her?)

Great work so far, I like the concept. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

He looks pretty amicable for a zerg, maybe he’s a barkeep or something
Looks awesome!! :+1:

That’s the cutest, most adorable creature I’ve ever seen. Those big, soulful eyes, I just want to put him in my pocket. Although I imagine I might be a bit sore later…

very cool model! whats the name of the bronze matcap?

Cool model… I like the eyes…as though it’s an innocent creature…

Thank you guys!

Glad you like him, but don´t make the mistake to judge only by his appearance. You might regret it when you come too close

Zmith[21]: The bronze material is from Intervain. Just do a search for Antique Bronze Material 2 in the matcap library.
