issues creating morph/blendshapes with 3d studio max

I have a character in max that is already rigged and I am trying to create a morph target, so i export it into zbrush, then back into max and when I apply the morph and dial it up the mesh distorts. I tried applying an xform to the mesh before exporting but it breaks the rigging, i also tried using the latest version of the gomax plugin (both with and without the “fix scale” option and that didnt work either. Anyone have any idears? Its making me mental! :stuck_out_tongue:
