Issue with Zproject texture painting?

Hey guys. I’m trying out the mac version of Zbrush just to see how it compares with the PC version. I like the new features but there are somethings I think are missing or taken out. Zmapper for one, but hopefully that will be added later.

I’ve done this many times on the PC version and it has worked great. However no matter what I do, I can’t paint anything on the Mac ver. I load the document, draw my model on it, create action line from model to point of texturing interest. When I go back to draw mode to paint it with the zproject tool nothing gets painted on the model and my RGB intensity is 100%.

Was this removed from the Mac version or am I missing an important step?

Have you filled the object with color to enable polypainting?

Yes I have. I just tried it again to make sure. Still nothing.

I’m having the exact same problem. I’m creating a shoe that consists of several subtools. I turned on only the subtool I want to zproject with an image cropped and filled underneath. It’s colorised and filled with white. But it just would not paint. Anyone knows why?

This is an issue I’m having only with the Mac version by the way. When I was using the PC version everything worked fine.

I also have this as an occasional problem (mac version), ive found that if i hit ’ make poly mesh 3D’ my new tool works with zproject perfectly well,
