Is there Local Dynamesh?
Thanks!
How do you mean? Like make a subtool just a dynamesh? and not the whole project? I do believe you can. I think you just select it in your sub tool list as the active tool, then hit the dynamesh button. when done turn off the Dynamesh.
I hope this helps.
Sorry about the lack of detail in my question! There is a way to locally sub divide a certain area of your mesh by masking everything but the part you want to subD.
Is there a way to mimic this same feature with Dynamesh?
Thanks!
I’m a bit new to the dynamesh stuff… But I do have an idea. perhaps you can mask off the area you want to make a dynamesh, make that area its own subtool that Dynamesh it? Crazy idea, I know… Not even sure if you can locally mask off an area to make into a subtool. If the area was a Limb perhaps.
But then again this is the rambling of a Noob.
Dynamesh can’t be used if any part of the model is masked off.
Instead of trying to explain what you want a tool to do it might be better if you explain what you’re trying to achieve with your model. Usually in 3d there are multiple ways to achieve a specific result. Sometimes users will ask a question how to do something complex with certain tools and options when a simpler method would get the same result.
You can dynamesh separate subtools or you can also use the group option in dynamesh with polygroups of your subtool.
