When ever i hit “GrowMask” or “ShrinkMask” it affects a real small portion of the mesh, can it be adjusted ? this is kinda annoying to repeat clicking until i get the results i want, because between clicking the software hangs for about 1 second.
You can adjust Preferences>Transpose>Mask Blur Strength.
Thanks but it has no effect…
How dense is the mesh? If it’s not very dense then you maybe won’t see much difference. And what version of ZBrush are you using?
Zbrush 4r6.
5.1million or so…
Ah, OK. The mesh density is what is causing the delay, and is why you can’t see any difference after adjusting the slider. Drop down a subdivision level, or even two, and then grow the mask before moving back up.
Thanks, but i’m using Dynamesh so there are no subdivisions, it would be nice if the number of polygons affected by this feature would be adjustable.
It is adjustable, in the way I said, but you are using a very dense mesh so you aren’t seeing the results. You’ll have to find some other method, such as masking with an alpha, to get the effect you want.
You should update to the ZB4R6 P2 patch. You could now clone or duplicate the model and decimate, then run ZRemesher as needed and do subdivisions to it. Dynamesh is great for some stuff but I rarely use it.
Thanks for the advices
