Is there anyway for me to selectively mask with high percision ?

I mean that the masking on zbrush is only being able to be done via a rectangle drag ???

What if I want to do masking like in Adobe Photoshop airbrush masking ???

That is I want to paint on my mask selectively on the areas i want with high percision …

can I do that in zbrush ???

I know that I can do something similar with an Alpha … but still I need more control …

Thanks

You could pull a mask from the intensity of an image. If the texture resolution is high enough along with a high subdivision level, you should be able to get pretty clean masks. If you haven’t laid out your UV’s, guv and auv mixed with projection master should do the trick.
To pull a mask from texture intensity, you go under Tool>Masking>Int

You can get 100% precision by using the partial mesh visibility features to hide the parts of the model that won’t be masked. You then Ctrl+Click on the empty canvas to mask the visible mesh. When you unhide, you’ll have the most perfect mask you could ask for.

can you please define this - Partial Mesh thingy ???

zbrush has a help menu that has zscripts that show how to use it…check it out.
