Is there any way in dynamesh to tag existing shells like subtracting ones?

Let’s say i create a dynamesh tool from a mesh composed of two different shells using the “group” function (each shell has a different polygroup), i’d like to define one of those shells like subtracting his volume like when using the duplicate function with ctrl alt or the insert brush with alt pressed. this is intended to have the possibility to create cuts in the same exact position of a complementary mesh (like joints on a toy). right now the only way i found is duplicate the mesh i want to use as cut with ctrl alt, reposition it in the same spot of the other, move the other away, remesh and then delete the positive one.
