Is there a way to turn symmetry on and off while using the retopo brush

I have a model that is slightly asymmetrical, yet I want to retopo it in zbrush. Is there a way to do this with the retopo brush? I tried using qremesher, but I want a greater degree of control.

95% of my model is symmetrical and would benefit from the mirrored function of the retopo brush, but I’d like to be able to turn it off toward the end to handle the last few elements that can’t be mirrored.

Any suggestions?

probably i dont understand but is not pressing the X key (on/off symmetry?),excuse me…

Retopo it completely with symmetry turned on. From there just move the vertice points in the asymmetrical areas. Then reproject the details back in. This will maintain your symmetrical topology for brush strokes, mirroring, and smart resym.

Hi MentalFrog i cant follow you. Can you madrecord a script?
thanks in advance
