Is there a way to speed up ProjectAll?

Or (since that is really an open ended question) is there a source on tips and tricks for using it? I’ve modeled a character for a friend that consists of about 50 subtools and decimated the whole character down to 9.5 million polys. I built a new cage for all the subtools in 3dsmax of about 4000 polys, and when I use project all (particularly after 2 or more subdivisions) the process slows down to hours.

If this is just one of those things that “is what it is” I’ll deal with it, just looking to see if there were things that can be done to speed things up. Thanks in advance, no worries if the answer is no.

have you tried projecting using the undecimated model?
and also start your projections on the high res model from lvl 1 and then 2 , 3 and so forth.
hope that helps

That did speed things up (using the undecimated model); even at the highest level (well over 10 times the polys of the undecimated model) things were much quicker. I still have things that meed to be fixed with Zproject, but this changes things from days to less than a day. Thanks muchly :^)…
