Is there a way to merge subtools and retain the currently on textures on them?

I have multiple sub tools with different textures applied to them. Each sub tool has it’s own texture applied to it in their “texture slots.” Am I able to weld them without interfering with the BMP texture maps on each of the sub tools after I merge them or do I have to bake the paint onto the polys?

You can only apply 1 texture per subtool. So if you merge them, you’ll need to convert your textures to polypaint, merge them all, adjust their UVs, and then generate a new texture if you want to continue to use maps.
