Hi,
Some programs allow you to attach .jpeg images to file
icons.
Since ZTools only show thumbnails inside ZBrush, I was
looking for another way to preview the 3D contents from a
browser without needing to open the file.
The ZBrush icon is stored in Pixologic ZData. Can that be manipulated?
Somehow, the software is telling the file icon to carry this specific image.
How can we change that image on a file-by-file basis?
How about a new button for the interface called ‘IconThumb’ :
At the end of a modelling session you could position your
model, draw a square bounding box around it and push a
button called ‘IconThumb’ that screenprints the selection
and attaches it as a .jpeg to the file icon. Now, no matter
what browser you’re using, you will always see an image of
the file content.
Just wonderin’.
