while painting with polypaint, i feel like i really need a color picker from time to time… but i can’t find one. does it exist?
Hold down the LMB on the colour swatch and then drag it to the colour you want to sample!

Keep in mind that ZBrush has a built in help system. With your cursor over any item or button, holding down the ‘Ctrl’ key on your keyboard will give you a popup description.
Hover over the color you want to “pick” and press the letter “C”. If you want to toggle the primary and secondary color swatches press “V”.
