I feel like im missing something. Let me break it down…
- Sculpt model in sym.
- Detail model in sym (painting, detail sculpting).
Now that model is finished, model must be transposed (most of the time using Transpose Master).
The problem arises when transposing extreme changes. Like a T-Pose having the arms come down, then forward, with different hand twists etc. Doing so causes obvious geometry problems inside the arms etc so one would go in and smooth out the bends and reshape accordingly.
Problem with that is smoothing it out removes pretty much all pore / skin detail along with paint (if the painted area moved) on the highest subdivision level. For extreme bends and poses, its an even worse problem. Details get stretched at top subd to the point where I need to redo them.
So am I supposed to detail and sculpt AFTER I pose? Or sculpt and detail in T-Pose then pose?
If so, how can I retain detail and paint?
Am I just going to have to redo it? I like having models in T-Pose incase I ever need to animate or reuse it instead of sculpting in its pose. If I detailed after posing, Id need to re-detail exactly the same way each time I repose my model.
