Is It Possible To Constrain A Models Polygon Geometry?

Wondering if ZBrush allows the geometry of the polygons (Triangles) within a model to be constrained to specific lengths? I am building paper polygon sculptures and would like to use software to help me determine the dimensions of the individual polygon shapes. Specifically, I’d like to constrain the geometry of the polygon shapes to only allow specific increments, for example: 3 cm, 6 cm, 9 cm, 12 cm etc. Does ZBrush allow this kind of control?

Thanks

Zbrush doesn’t have that capability. Best go to a polygonal modeling program then you can bring the .obj back into Zbrush for additional detailing if desired.

Thanks Ezra, can you tell me the names of some Polygonal modeling programs?

Blender and Wings are both free 3D modeling softwares. I know that you can define dimensions of the grids in either metric or standard measurements in Blender. I’m not certain about Wings 3D. Many people say that Blender is difficult to learn but I think that complaint was expressed more before the recent UI overhaul (actually it was a complete rebuild of Blender, not just the interface).

Good luck.

Thanks again Ezra, I’ll check out Blender.
