Is it possible rotate a mask?

I saw this tutorial of Rudy Massar for make “Round corners in a mask” I tried to make it by my own, it seems very simple but I was unable to do it with just the default tools of masking in zbrush 4R6.

How can you rotate the “RecMask” brush to make this mask?

Ctrl. to able mask pen

Alt. to Unmask

Space to Move the Mask.

? to rotate it…

Thanks.

You can’t rotate the mask, but you can rotate the Subtool 45 degrees using Rotate in the Deformation subpalette.

Well… yeah… it can be a way… only it´s sad that it´s the only way… xD

Maybe this could be helpful > http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?185975-Noobie-Shadowbox-Question&p=1082497&viewfull=1#post1082497

There is a way, though it’s not exactly what you had in mind. You can change the Stroke type to Drag Dot. You will need to set the Draw Size to the size you want the mask, and set the Focal Shift to -100 to get a crisp edge. Note that the mask will appear as masked polygons, but you can drag and rotate the mask.

Also, for 90 degree rotations, don’t forget you can rotate the alpha in the Alpha palette.

It would really be awesome if you could rotate a mask, clip, slice and trim with a keyboard shortcut like how the spacebar moves them…
