This is the first thing I’ve done in Zbrush aside from just messing with the tools, and I have to say it… I love Zbrush! I draw for a living and I’ve always been interesting in 3D modelling but I haven’t had the patience for programs like 3D Studio or Maya. Zbrush cuts out the tedium of pulling points and basically lets me draw right on the model. So, here’s to all of you who convinced me to go ahead and buy it.
As to what it is… Some sort of space alien wearing a helmet and goggles, I suppose. I roughed it out with Z-spheres and then added detail. I know it may not look like much, but I feel really good about having “studied” the tools for about two hours and then having been able to jump right in and put out something this detailed in only a few more.
