I wanted to start a new thread for different Wips that weren’t related to anything in particular.
First WIP up…
A head for a new character. It’s based pretty much entirely off of a real person. I won’t tell you who it is, but to give you a hint, he’s a pretty big American actor who was nominated for best actor in a leading role within the last couple years.
A straw penny to the one who guesses it first. That should let me know how close I was to getting the likeness down.

shhh… dont wake him up.
It looks like Jeffrey Donovan. And I know he was nominated for Teen Choice Award this year. Am I right?
BTW, it’s a great sculpt!
@yarim: Thank you for being so considerate… he needs his beauty sleep.
@EricShawn: [long sigh] unfortunately… no it’s not Jeffrey Donovan. I guess I should have been a little more specific. He was nominated for an Oscar.
I guess I’ll just go ahead and ruin the surprise since it might be impossible to guess. It’s supposed to be Viggo Mortensen.

Hopefully now that everyone knows who it’s supposed to be they’ll still think it’s a good sculpt.
its dificult to say with the eyes closed… one of vigos biggest landmarks are the chin and the jaw… the jaw needs to be more pronounced. more wrincles and bumps will also help.
You should have waited, man. It would have been awesome to keep guessing as the character progressed.
@Yarim: I’d have to agree with you, that the jaw needs to be a tad stronger.
@teruchan: Part of me wanted to wait; but another part of me knew that every time someone either didn’t guess, or guessed wrong, a little bit of my soul was going to die. This way they can either say that I’m close, or far off.
Just a little update. Right now I’m just roughing out the concept.
