Here is another contender. He is my original boxer given a race change in PS. I call him, “The Contender Remix”.

Nalrac: Nice head. You got the African features down. Hoping to see this developed further.

Ron: Isn’t that one of the guys from Menudo? It’s good to see the development.

Dickie: That guy looks like it could kick some but. Nice skin settings as well.

Here is my entry. If I have to tell you who he is then I failed in my portrayal of this actor. Very educational challenge. Back to my dragon.

well he looks like Patrick Stewart to me.

Here is my tweeked first head- I lost the texture during a crash- but I can repaint it, I guess I need the practice-

Anyways, I am working through the practical guide- The head will be retextured then placed with its armour and arm- following strikes tutorial!- I have another thread that I have put progress shots in so I will not repost the information.

Thanks for looking!

Yeah, that’s suppose to be Patrick Steward although in the middle of the modeling it tried to be Ben Kingsley. I feel reasured that somebody recognized him. Don’t be a stranger Ron, drop by on mondays for the chat if you get a chance.

When I saw the bald head my first instinct was Patrick Stewart, but then I looked a little more closely and thought Ben Kingsley. So I guess that means you did a pretty damned good job. :stuck_out_tongue:

cool dali too frenchy
but i cannot try artrage program, as is windows only and i am on mac :frowning: in these situations i wish i had a pc, so many nice free programs for pc around … but only in these situations, when i think of viruses i am so glad i have mac … and i love my antique mac

This one is just for fun. Here we have my boxer modeling what I hope will become the new standard for men’s hair fashion…The Amish Wolverine…Growing the beard is the easy part, it’s the extensive eyebrow training that I fear will keep this from the mainstream. But I know that if you try, you can do it!

10 minutes tweaking
the clay ball.

ZBrush is amazing and I must start saving
money to buy it.

The modelling part was easy, Getting this guy to stand still was the hard part

Only just saw this thread. Been doing a portrait of my mum so thought I might as well post it.

Still got a long way to go, only just done the colour map so she looks a bit dead at the moment probably doesn’t help the fact that she hasn’t got any eyes either.

fizzy, very nice.
Mom looks like Vanessa Redgrave?

Thanks. I’ll tell her that. I haven’t told her the reason why I wanted to model her was to see if I could reproduce all those wrinkles.

Got to add a material now something that will make her look a bit more alive.

Texturing is fantastic so far- could you give any pointers on producing realistic skin like that?

Cheers

Not very good but a very good exercise for learning  If I had more time I could have developed more- got caught between deciding between characture or realism and fell apart from there
