Invalid SHADOWBOX mesh ?...

Hi,

Tried to open in zb 4 a tool created with zb 3.5 and got this message…

Invalid shadowbox mesh detected
Invalid shadowbox mesh will be discarded and replaced by a new shadowbox mesh

And my 6 million poly creature was replaced by a shadow box cube…
Anyone had this problem before ?
Thanks

I am also having this issue. Any Polymesh3D I try to send into Shadowbox mode comes back with the error “Invalid shadowbox mesh”, and tells me it will convert the mesh to a valid one. But for me, the application crashes as soon as I hit OK. I’ve tried uninstalling and installing on my other laptop to test, and both PCs give the same result.

I’ve found this thread on the matter - sadly it doesn’t help me.

Can somebody find a workaround for this? I got ZB4 mainly for shadowbox and spotlight, and so far have had no opportunity to use them. :frowning:

Thanks for your reply…
Well I sort of found a workaround which consists in exporting the high resolution mesh as an .obj and importing it in Zb4 and then reconstruct the subdiv levels. If you’ve got polypainting on it convert it to texture and export with Txr and Mrg turned on (Tool>Export)
Hope it helps

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
