Intos3 no longer communicating with Zbrush

This is freaky weird… My intos3 tablet for some reason is no longer communicating with Zbrush. It suffered a fall recently, but it appears to be functioning perfectly in every other program, photoshop included!!! (and I haven’t loaded zbrush in a while… so it may have been doing this before the fall)

I’ve tried ‘repair’ install on Zbrush, I’ve tried updating the drivers on the Intos… Neither have worked. The moment the zbrush window becomes active, the pen no longer functions at all. I’ve tried rebooting, changing the usb port… still no go…

And ready for the weirdest part? I plug in a bamboo… the bamboo works just fine… ARG!!!

Please, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of things you might try:

In the Wacom set up, make a custom set up for ZBrush.

Also, if you run a mouse and the Wacom try starting ZBrush with the Wacom pen.

Since your bamboo works just fine with Zbrush and your dropped wacom does not work ONLY with Zbrush I highly recommend that you uninstall ALL wacom drivers then reboot your system and then reinstall your wacom board.

A year ago my wacom just magically decided not to function with zbrush, i thought my wacom was broken, and as time went on it slowly started to not function on certain sections of the screen. After I did what I just recommended to you everything was and has been fine.

I wish you the best of luck!

It happened to me couple times, I just installed over the same drivers and everything went back to normal

whew the uninstall and reinstall seems to have fixed it… ripped it all out by the roots, rebooted, reinstalled then plugged it in… folks at Zbrush said that it was probably the windows 7 tablet driver being a pain (or something to that effect)

HUGS thank you so much for the help! Tell ya, I was at my wits end!
