INTERNAL ERROR /ZDev/FDev/sources/List.cpp Line:1206

I am frequently encountering crashes with Zbrush whilst using Zsketch tool and it displays an error message that says:

INTERNAL ERROR /ZDev/FDev/sources/List.cpp
Line:1206

Mismatch mem list size
Object:

I am using Zbrush 4 on Mac OS X 10.6.4

Anyone know what this is or if there is anyway to fix this?

I’m having the same issue and it’s driving me crazy. I barely start zsketching and I receive this error. I am running zbrush 4 on windows vista 32-bit. Any help would be great. Sorry I can’t help you  but hopefully someone will know a solution soon enough

Same error here. Z4, Vista x64

I’ve now confirmed this problem on three different systems. Vista and XP x64. I anyone able to get zsketch to work?

I get this error running in Win7 Pro via MacOS Bootcamp

is there a way we can get an admin to see our post so maybe we can get some closure for this problem

There is a similar post here, in which Aurick replied, but no resolution found as of yet.

I also opened a support ticket, but have not heard anything back yet.

Cheers.

just got this problem as well

It has been reported as a bug, and should be fixed in the next release. Possible fixes may be updating Java and Dot Net. But, this did not fix the issue for me.

Sorry I cannot help people with macs but however if you are running vista/windows 7 I have a fix.
1.Start Zbrush
2.Press Ctrl,Alt,Del (Task manager)
3.Once a Window pops up switch to the process tab
4.Scroll down if you have to till you find zbrush.exe
5.Right click on zbrush.exe and look down the list till you see “set priority”
6.Hover over set priority until a list appears, then click high.

What this does is give zbrush more memory thus stop the program from crashing:cool:

I’ve had the same problem forever on the mac, it pretty much made the zsketch feature unusable for me.

However this time, for no particular reason i just pressed cancel instead of OK when it said that there was a memory leak. the dialog appears again alternating between two numbers…

I pressed cancel several times and then it dissapeared and i could return to my model and keep working on it.
I could even do things with zsketch that i know 100% would crash it before…

I just thought you should know if anyone else has the same problem

I have the same thing, and cancel works well… though you may need to hit it a few hundred times…
What causes this for me is when I have symmetry on and my lines cross, its like Zbrush dosent like making the transition from one side of the model to the other.
Fun fun fun!

I tried afterwards to cross lines with symmetry and that didn’t crash it again. So it does seem like if your past the mem error once it won’t happen again. At least not until you restart zbrush. But I need to work more with to know for sure. I’ll definitely post any new info or progress I get.

I have some time to kill while I consume a lot of coffee at the moment, I will hammer on Zbrush and see if I can make this happen on purpose…
Maybe I will end up with something fun while Im at it!

ok…
I just made a LOT of ZSpheres… and no stupid crash… I had all of the symmetry stuff on too…

Anyhow I cant reproduce it at the moment…

ok…
Well…
making a million+ Zspheres dident do it, smoothing 15 or so did…
heh…
Symmetry was on but I have no idea why this happened now and not with the other attempt.
