Interface questions, scale/translate issues

Hi! I have few questions.

  1. I can’t carry out symmetry buttons (activate symmetry,x,y,z) from the transform palette to another part of the interface, unlike another buttons.
I activate “enable customize”, drag them to another place with ctrl+alt . Then I store config. After restarting zb, symmetry buttons disappear. All other customizations are ok. Can anybody confirm this issue?
  2. Lightbox launches immediately after start of zb, even after I unchecked “open at launch” button. Ofcourse, I can turn it off with hotkey, it’s not a big problem, but maybe there is some solution?
  3. Scale/translate issue. Some time ago I asked about strange numbers in the export section that appears after importing of some object (this issue was in zb3.5 too). But GoZ worked fine, so those numbers didn’t have an influence on work, until now. Sometimes objects appear in the wrong places in zb and 3ds max after using GoZ. I saw similar questions here, so I conform that weird numbers in the export section sometimes(!) cause object’s offset, it’s strongly slows down workflow.
  4. Just a suggestion. In zb4 “tools” palette becomes really huge. I often use layers, but subtools subpalette should be open too, so it’s impossible to use them without scroll of tool palette, so, maybe there is a reason to detach some subpalettes to the menus (layers and geometry for example)? or even better-make subPalettes detachable. It will be great to be able drag&drop whole subPalettes to any part of the interface,to the side panels.

re: Question 1 - Svengali has a solution to that problem in this thread but use the file in Post #14 instead of the one in Post #11.

re: Question 2 - Add the following line to your DefaultZScript.txt file in the ZScripts folder between //Startup and [pd]

[If,1,[IPress,Preferences:Lightbox:Lightbox]]

Thanks! Everything works fine! Don’t know, how I didn’t find thread about symmetry myself.

P.S. Little observation about question #3. -in 3ds max set "units setup" to "generic units" -create sphere (don't change any parameters after that) and export it to zbrush with GoZ -in zbrush in the tools->export section you'll see that scale slider (which normally must be 1) has some value that equal sphere's radius in 3ds max(!). -Also, if now you'll change radius of the sphere in 3ds max, and export it to zb again, with GoZ, value in the export section will be the same as before, without changes until you'll restart zbrush.... Something really weird... I have no idea where zbrush takes values for x,y,z offsett.

I don’t use GoZ because I don’t have any of those apps, but I found 2 threads with similar problems that might help a little.

Thread 1
Thread 2

Thanks again! This threads prove that problem really exist. Hope, they’ll fix it in 4.1.
