In my quest to move my hands as little as possible while at the computer, I’ve come up with this interactive alpha script. You can access the alpha brushes from where-ever you are on the screen (if you use the hot-key)

Press the script button, or press CTRL+a and the alphas selector will pop up. Move the mouse left or right to quickly cycle through the different brushes. When you see the one you want, just press the mouse button.

You do still need to “wave off” the alpha window that pops up. Not a big deal, but if anybody knows how to get the window to close when the script ends I’d sure appreciate it.

Another useful gizmo from you, Ken! I have to wonder just what your Default script looks like at this point. LOL

Keep it up, and before long you’ll be running ZBrush telepathically.

This might help a bit smallEYE.txt
i got some pop up in there and they go away.
you can dig and see what you can come up with.
i messed with your script for a few and once i had the code were every time you move your curser over the button the pop up will activate LOL Weird.
change your number to [IPress,28601] or unpress thats the alpha number mine differnt in the eye script.

Thank you EZ. That did the trick.

But for some reason, the script doesn’t work too well now (not because of your changes). It seems to get “stuck” on one alpha and then jump to another far down the line. Don’t know why as it was working ok before. Anybody have an idea why?

aurick, my default doesn’t look too cluttered yet, although I am running out of hot keys. Perhaps I’ll post the newest version for those who might want it.

Ken, I’d like to see your default script. I incorporated your modeling script, with a few changes, into my own, and you can see it in a recent thread I started. I thank you VERY much for that script, and your interactive smoothing script, which I find a great time saver! I’d like your opinion of my changes if you get a second… :smiley:

I still might revise my own revisions on the hotkey assignment to make more logical sense :slight_smile:

you can play with this TryThis.txtits not a fixer but some thing to mess with if you want.
there is some thing about the curser over the canvas postion.
run the script and place your curser up by the pop up panel if you move down,right,left,up it should follow it but it don’t now try up by the popup and move down in a angel to your Right.

down,right it seams to work some what ok but your Z-code mouse is probley not correct thats the only thing i can think of.
