I’m trying to install ZBrush 4R7 trial version on mac but it doesn’t seem to work. I already encountered issues trying to open the .dmg file (disk image failed to mount, it would be damaged). It seemed to work after I allowed apps downloaded from anywhere in system preferences. Plus I tried ‘first aid’ in disk utility, but this failed. See attached image. It’s partly in Dutch but translation:
- First three lines is just that it’s checking something
- “The volume ‘ZBrush 4R7 Trial’ cannot be checked”
- “Endcode filesystem is 8”
- “Control or repair of filesystem failed”
- “Operation failed…”
Still, hoping that this didn’t necessarily mean the file was indeed corrupted, I managed to open the .dmg file now through Finder. After opening the .dmg file I installed ZBrush but it gives the following error: ‘Error copying file from packed archive’
I can’t find this error on internet (only for Windows users). When I click ignore, it seems to continue the installation but after that the window just closes and I can’t find installed ZBrush software anywhere. There is a folder in my Applications but I can’t find the installed software.
Is there anyone who knows what the problem is and how to fix it?
