insert primitives faceted

Hey guys, so I’m trying to get a grasp of modeling straight in z brush and when I use insert cylinder or sphere I get faceted structures. Is there a menu for softening these inserts? Thanks.

You can subdivide the mesh to add more geometry. If you’re going to use dynamesh then you probably wont have to worry about it due to dynamesh’s polish settings which will smooth things out.

Likewise, if you’re just wanting to insert a mesh and keep it low poly but smooth, it will look fine once you export the model.
