Insert MultiMesh Curve Brush - What am I not understanding?

Hey all,

I haven’t had much use in the past for the MultiMesh brush, until recently. Unfortunately I’ve hit a snag and need assistance.

I’m trying to coat a subtool in ‘rice grains’ in order to build a rice ball for a sushi model. I figured the MultiMesh brush would be a good method for doing so (any other suggestions are welcome however.)

So I created a series of rice grains and then created my InsertMultiMesh brush. Modified the brush as per what I’ve read online and stroked along the rice ball form. (See below).

Unfortunately, as you can see, I am getting the one large grain in addition to the smaller grains. Furthermore, I also don’t seem to be getting all 7 of my grains AND they don’t’ appear to be particularly random.

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more info on my settings.

Thank you all for your time!

No suggestions? Halp!

I’d use a sphere to apply them to with radial symmetry enabled.

Hey Doug, thank you for your reply. That sounds like a good idea.

However I’m still stumped as to why I’m getting inconsistent sizes and not all meshes being deployed.

Do you have ZB4R6 P2? I haven’t used this feature very much to offer more advice.

I have the latest version. Thanks again!
