Insert Multi Mesh Question

Hi

I’m real new to zbrush and just learning things now. I’m sculpting a guy and at this point I’m trying to give him a belt so his pants don’t fall down. I made the belt and I thought I could add one of those brushes that looks like a belt buckle. So, I added that, and now I can’t go back and sculpt anything else on the belt. The buckle is always a brighter red like it’s an active subtool and everything else is darker. I can switch to other subtools and edit stuff, but if I switch back tot he belt, I can still only edit the buckle.

It’s probably some simple key I missed or can’t find… is there a way to desect the buckle, so I can back in and start sculpting the rest of the belt around it?

Hey!

I believe the rest of your belt is masked. Whenever you use any kind of insert mesh on a subtool it automatically masks everything but the insert. This makes it so you can edit or split off the new mesh without affecting the original subtool.

You just need to clear the mask
